How to uninstall Total Defense Parental Controls when it is not listed in the uninstall screen of Total Defense Internet Security Suite

How can Total Defense Parental Controls be removed in a situation where it is not listed as an option in the Total Defense Internet Security Suite uninstaller?
Problem Resolution

NOTE: These steps are applicable only when the Total Defense Parental Controls is not an option in the Total Defense Internet Security Suite uninstaller. (If you're not sure, click here to have a guide for an easier uninstall procedure)

  1. Click the Start button, select Run (For windows vista and windows 7, Click on start button >> in search box) and copy/paste the following command and click OK.

C:Program FilesInstallShield Installation Information{5A05B328-35EB-4CED-B16F-62FA5A2642E6}setup.exe

  1. This will bring up the uninstaller for Total Defense Parental Controls.
  1. Alternately, browse to the above folder that contains the uninstaller.
  2. Ensure that the “Show hidden files and folders” is enabled and “Hide protected operating system files (recommended)” is unchecked in the folder options in the control panel.

  1. The uninstaller will bring up the following screen. Select English, and select “Next”.

  1. Choose the option “Remove” and click “Next”.

  1. Press “OK” on the confirmation dialog box.

  1. Enter the administrator password and click “Next”. Click here if you have forgotten the Administrator Password.

  1. On completion, you would be prompted to restart. Click Finish to restart the computer.

This will remove the Total Defense Parental Controls program from the PC.
